What is a Martingale collar used for?
The martingale collar is designed to provide better control without strangling the dog. It is ideal for dogs with a narrower head than their neck, such as greyhounds, or those who tend to slip out of a standard collar. Unlike choke collars, it tightens slightly when the dog pulls, preventing escape while avoiding excessive pressure on the windpipe. To use it properly, adjust it so that it fits securely when released and tightens only slightly when there is tension. It is perfect for gentle training and safety while walking.
